Martin was arrested shortly after Cathy Martin was found with her throat slashed in a car parked off to the side on Stewart Castle road, in Falmouth east of Montego Bay on the island’s north shore, where the couple was on vacation.

The officer said they were alerted to problems after a passing taxi driver saw two people struggling on the side of the road in a car.

The paper further reported that, when the couple checked out of the hotel to catch their flight home, Martin drove in a different direction from the airport, telling his wife he was heading for the peaks to take pictures.

The Observer reported that police suspect Martin intended to kill his wife then blame the attack on Jamaicans.

1. He's not the first worthless yuppie to off his wife

in an area where <eek> black folks live in order to blame a non existent black man or black mob for the attack. There was one of those in Boston shortly before I left who went to the length of shooting himself after he'd shot his wife in the head to make it look legit. He'd parked in a majority black area to do it.

This is so much of a pattern that whenever I read about black on white crime now it trips my shit-o-meter.

A Canadian bank manager yesterday outlined in a tear-filled day of evidence how her husband allegedly slashed her throat twice, and left her on a Jamaican roadway to die after accusing her of cheating on him.

She alleged that she and her husband checked out of the hotel they were staying in Rose Hall, St James, at about 1:00 pm on December 23, but instead of heading towards the airport in Montego Bay, he husband drove the rented Suzuki motor car in the opposite direction.

She further alleged that when she queried as to where he was heading, he told her that was going to take pictures from a cliff.

But upon reaching Stewart Castle in Trelawny --just outside the capital, Falmouth -- her husband allegedly turned off the main road to a secluded spot where he allegedly slashed her throat twice with a knife and attempted to strangle her. She also received cuts to her left thumb for which she received stitches.
