NJ Gov. Chris "Pugsley McJobkill" Christie Slammed For Disney World Stay During Massive Blizzard
Edited on Tue Dec-28-10 03:23 PM by johnfunk
What a tool:
Critics are taking aim at New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for his decision to embark ---- and now remain -- on his Disney World vacation even while his state digs out of a massive snow storm. Compounding the criticism is the fact that Christie's second-in-command, Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, is simultaneously on leave in Mexico.

Fat, mean, and selfish is no way to go through life, Pugsley. More here.

2. Does New Jersey have a recall provision
It's the best time right now, while the mood is still against Christie and his stupid Lt. Gov...

And put Booker in. He's the one with real class.

24. We do have a recall
I doubt we could get enough signatures though.

Booker will kick Christie's ass at the polls in 2013.

33. Get out and start a petition drive. We have a favor to return.
Christie is raw meat, you will get all the signatures that you need. NJ residents, get after that clown.

34. It's been discussed.
I think you need 1/4 of all registered voters to sign which is insanely impossible.

And recalling Christie just puts Kim Guadagno (Lt Gov now in Mexico) in office. She's Cheney to Christie's Bush.

Hopefully Bloomberg's done with fucking with NYC as mayor.

He should not be re-elected anymore. He needs his ass tossed out.

17. Some choice quotes from Twitter:
"Dear Mr. Bloomberg screw you I hope that you get an incurable case of hemorrhoids"

"Dear @MikeBloomberg : You could learn a lot from @CoryBooker. Also, lose the insufferable condescension thing, jackass."

"Good thing @MikeBloomberg isn't having to handle a big crisis like cholera in Haiti. He'd probably screw that up worse."

"@MikeBloomberg When are you going to plow Brooklyn? Care about your constituents at all? Or is NYE ball drop more important than taxpayers?"

"Dear Mayor @MikeBloomberg anytime you want to plow my street, feel free you arrogant asshole. Give Cathie Black a shovel."

"Btw @MikeBloomberg is the 10th richest man in the country, but NYC cant get salt trucks....oh ok."

"I guess NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg hates to see a lot of salt on food _and_ roads...."

"You want to see Bloomberg get moving on snow removal? Tell him snow is high in transfats."

"Wonder if not sending out snow plows after #blizzard2010 is part of Bloomberg's carbon reduction plan."

7. As much as I detest Christie, I don't see the problem with him
remaining n Fl. From all the stuff I've heard about air traffic in the NE, it would be dumb for him to try to get back during the mess. What more could he do if he was physically there v/s on the phone? NOTHING!

10. I disagree. They need a leader. Christie ain't it
From the tweets I've been seeing, Cory Booker is doing on hell of a job, and should be declared the Governor of New Jersey.

This is a crisis, and if Christie ain't interrupting his vacaycay in Dizzyworld, then he should be thrown out on his ass on the street.

The people of NJ elected him to do a job, and he's failing it and needs to have his term terminated.

11. It depends
you do have a valid point, he would not have been able to get into an airport in the Northeast.

But what did he do while stuck in Florida? If he just took the family to Disney World for the day that does look bad. If he was smart he would have stayed away from anything that looked like a vacation and done his job from the hotel in Florida or even see if the Florida Governor would let him do work out of his office.

37. Are there no weather forecasts?
Or are they now an unaffordable luxury too?

BTW: I'm seven time zones east of NJ and I knew the storm was coming, BEFORE it arrived!

What will those internets come up with next?

31. I am sure the Pentagon could send a C130...
Features
Using its aft loading ramp and door the C-130 can accommodate a wide variety of oversized cargo, including everything from utility helicopters and six-wheeled armored vehicles to standard palletized cargo and military personnel. In an aerial delivery role, it can airdrop loads up to 42,000 pounds or use its high-flotation landing gear to land and deliver cargo on rough, dirt strips.

There was no state help whatsover. Because of all the emergencies being handled on local level streets may not be plowed til Thursday. My town's mayor has been working her ass off since Sunday.

36. Going on Vacation is one thing
I mean, this storm hit Atlanta before it hit NJ, so a lot of the flights from Florida were cancelled. HOWEVER, he should have stated that he was trying to get back and couldn't (if indeed he was). AND his Lt. Gov. should have been there. I mean, that's why you have a Lieutenant Governor! Always have a backup!

Sheesh. :argh:
