Thats what we received when this tax cut nonsense went into effect 10 years ago.

How the hell did that part get forgotten and left out? And that should have been every damn year from the beginning too.

If we can borrow for tax cuts for the wealthy we sure as hell can borrow some for the rest of us.

We should have realized the wealthy were going to get theirs and rather than fighting amongst ourselves we should have concentrated on getting ourselves a little piece of that pie.

1. You will get 2% of your gross pay. If you make $30K that is $600.

7. See post #2
Are people really (REALLY?) defending an $11 per week tax cut while excusing millions to a wealthy tax payer in the same bill?

Really?

8. $11 a week is a bogus comparison.
If all the tax cuts expired the hit to the middle class would be real.

$400 making work pay credit.
10% bracket becomes 15% = $300 hit on everyone including the poor.
child tax credit goes from $600 to $1000 resulting in $400 jump in taxes per child.
marriage penalty goes into effect resulting in a 3% to 5% hit for every married couple

So the reality is rather stark especially in middle of a recession.

Would it be best to keep all these WITHOUT raising taxes on rich? Of course.
However Congress tried that.... twice. Once extending only cuts below $250K and once extending custs below $1 mil.
Both times it failed. Without 60 votes everything expires.

There isn't 60 votes without a compromise.

9. Yes they are. It is quite disturbing I might say. Hero worship
stops all critical thinking.
