"We're not hate groups" right wing orgs drop out of conference because of fear of gay cooties
Rather than facing the horrifying reality that gay Republicans actually exist, conservative groups are pulling out of the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in droves because of the inclusion of the gay conservative group, GOProud:

"Two of the nation’s premier moral issues organizations, the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America, are refusing to attend the Conservative Political Action Conference in February because a homosexual activist group, GOProud, has been invited.

FRC and CWA join the American Principles Project, American Values, Capital Research Center, the Center for Military Readiness, Liberty Counsel, and the National Organization for Marriage in withdrawing from CPAC."

It should be noted that the Family Research Council, the Concerned Women for America, along with the Liberty Council and the National Organization for Marriage were all recently designated as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

"We're not homophobes. Hey. What's that? Is that teh gay? No. It can't be. It's impossible. NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" *runs to a bunker*

1. on the other hand, my question has always been, "how can there be gay repukes?" since part of the
platform for the repukes has been denial of rights for gays. has never made sense to me to belong to a party or organization that denies your right to exist.

8. And yet both Tim Kaine and the President oppose equal rights
so the DNC is a hair better, but by no means can one argue that men who say God wants us to suffer under unjust laws because of who we are are supporting our rights. Many adults are not impressed by a 'kinder, gentler bigotry' you know. Tarting up the language does not cut it. Against equality is against equality, and that is both Party's leadership.
Sad but true.

5. Like the Marines? Or the Boy Scouts?
Both have positives and negatives. The groups are not Black or White, it's a grey world (and could use some bright colors)

:hi:

9. They need to find some of those cooties and send them to those groups.
Although cooties are probably too small to see. It might be better to use boogers.
