The unemployment offices are a complete disaster

I went down and tried to file for unemployment today. FYI there are still FAR more people than the state can keep up with. I was told I could go on a waiting list to talk to someone possibly in 20-30 days. Either that or try a phone number which I tried for two hours and got nothing but never ending music.

Something has to be done about the jobs situation in this country. I don't know how long it's going to take to even find a job. A few years ago I could have a job in two days. Not anymore.

is going to be bleak. Corporations are rewarded tax-wise by off-shoring and sending jobs overseas.
You know this as a prior employee of Target. Months ago you wrote that you quit Target and were financially stable and had enough investments to tough it out. Now you are hurting and want unemployment.
I applaud the reasons you quit btw. The thing is, we, as a nation do NOT produce much of anything anymore. It's all being sent overseas to manufacture. Good Luck.

11. What's up with this? On an earlier OP you said you got fired for going to

work drunk, and this one says you went to file for unemployment.

Do you think they might call/contact the former employer? If so, that can't be good.
