NYP: Sanitation Department's slow snow cleanup was a budget protest
http://m.nypost.com/p/news/local/sanit_filthy_snow_slow_mo_qH57MZwC53QKOJlekSSDJK

The language is a bit inflammatory so read if you want, but the allegation is that the slow plowing was a protest against Bloomberg's cuts.

5. 20,000 workers reduced to 5,800 workers. Can the snow really be removed with a tiny workforce?
Republican Scumbag Bloomberg is refusing to accept the blame for his piss poor management and blaming the Union at the same time.

:puke:

3. Is this a sick joke? Were the emaciated concentration camp prisoners in WWII on a hunger strike?
Is being unable to do a job with inadequate supplies a protest of the inadequate supplies?

10. Well it seems we were tiptoeing around this and I figure better to get it out in the open.
Looks like Patterson is investigating it so it's not like it won't come up.

8. Right. Wing. Talking. Point.
This so-called story is clearly a plant, designed to denigrate the sanitation workers' union in light of the union president's mention of Bloomberg's cuts to sanitation workers.

Are we, DEMOCRATS, seriously falling for this BS?

11. Right. They should have gone out and plowed without executive orders.
Because they have a right to do whatever they want with city equipment.

BLOOMBERG DIDN'T CALL A SNOW EMERGENCY!!!! How were the unions in control of that? How were the unions responsible for snowplows not being in place to begin plowing at the first flakes?

12. That is exactly right.
Bloomberg did not call a snow emergency, which would have started everything off differently.

I still can't get over how buses and plows were sent out without chains on them. Stuck buses and plows prevented other plows from getting through. The streets were filled with abandoned buses, trucks, cars, etc. Managers made the decision to send out vehicles without chains; they continued to send out buses, etc without chains even after the first batch got stuck. There are blocks in Brooklyn and Queens with 3 or 4 buses all stuck on the same block. Idiots.

And then we have to come here to see this right wing propaganda posted.

13. A total lie invented by conservative Dan Halloran...the most anti-union elected official in NYC
Why O why would unionized sanitation workers tell the most anti-union elected official in NYC about their supposed union action?

Here's a clue: they wouldn't. Dan Halloran is a fucking liar.
