In the midst of war, with so many brave souls giving their all, many for the second and third time, a travesty of justice has occured. You see, the law only applies to the privileged few, the inner circle, the project for a New American Century. In a cowardly written statement, the President commuted the sentence of Lewis “Scooter” Libby. “His family has suffered enough,” says the president. How about the 3,500+ families who have suffered because your boy Libby perjured and lied to get us into this war, helping obstruct justice and out a key CIA agent. How about the 35,000 wounded in this war? How have their families suffered? The British are already rounding up perpetrators in their airline bombings. Your government facilitated the exportation of the Bin Laden family, thanks to “Bandar Bush” hours after 9/11 happened — losing valuable intelligence that we will never get back-all for the sake of the almighty dollar. Six years later we have made no progress in finding those who committed 9/11. We have only served in making every citizen in the Arab world our enemy. Do you endorse the party responsible for this immorality? The Republican Party, who were delighted when Bill Clinton was impeached, are now equally delighted that Libby gets off. These are the true colors of the Republican Party — yellow cowards who can’t face justice, who can’t fight their own wars with their own children. Yellow Republicans, who write the rules as they go. I’m sick of their false morality.
