Post-ABC poll: public not yet sold on GOP
Republicans made major gains in the November elections but they have yet to win the hearts and minds of the American people, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

The midterm elections – where Republicans gained 63 seats to take control of the House of Representatives and added six seats to their Senate minority – were widely seen as a rebuke to President Obama. Still, the public now trusts Obama marginally more than congressional Republicans to deal with the country’s main problems in the coming years, 43 to 38 percent. And when it comes to who has taken the stronger leadership role in Washington, it's an even divide: 43 percent say Obama, 42 percent the GOP.

Here's the poll:

1. Considering that repukes totally ruined this country, the fact that ANYONE
would give them the time of day shows how incredibly stupid the American public is.

2. You think that's unbelievable, this morning I read that polls showed Bachmann would
beat Amy Klobuchar in a Senate race! That was my thought - how fucking stupid are people?

There's a clip on my local progressive radio station that has a clip of a caller saying "I just returned from my first Tea Party gathering and I've never seen a group of people so committed to being wrong." It's not only the Teabaggers, sadly.

5. Why this was a PROTEST ELECTION
and people better get damn familiar with that concept.

Yes it was a wave, but it was a wave driven by protest.

This is deep in the gallup poll three days after the election. The voters expected to be disappointed.

6. Hmm.
To hear the MSM and Republicans tell it, the mid-term election was a huge mandate for their policies.:eyes:

7. The American public has to be very close to playing with it's own poop
There is simply no critical thinking that exists in America in this day and age.
