3. End of 2010 thoughts, hopes and dreams
Edited on Fri Dec-31-10 12:55 PM by realFedUp
Hmmmm,

Looking forward to seeing Oprah's new network shows....
IF I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT CHANNEL IT'S ON AND IF MY BASIC CABLE EVEN HAS THAT CHANNEL!
This is what will be its' downfall. duh.

And Mr. Dionne., it's the media, stupid. Howabout fining a station, show,
pundit when it, he or she doesn't tell the truth?

And we find out recently that two sisters have been in jail for stealing $11 and
Bush and Cheney et al keep distancing themselves from any real justice
for their crimes to this country and world? How many other people
are being held for long periods of time for small crimes? This is one area where American
justice falls on its face.

We'll miss some of the stalwart long-lived pols and continue to roll our eyes
at how much lower the bar has fallen around the idea of America.

Hoping priorities for this country will be to get up to speed on green technology and implementing jobs, especially because
foreign companies are renting up/claiming areas of this country to put up wind turbines, as we speak.

Hoping to see some new faces on MSNBC....sooooo tired of Mr. Fineman. Soooo tired of politics as usual.

Hoping we end war as we know it and spend the money on infrastructure, education and healthcare for all.

Hoping California can roll back the perks and tax cuts for those living large at our expense
and that it can dig out from under huge debts,
thanks to Prop 13, Arnold (Terminated finally) and stupid ballot initiatives, etc.

Hoping we can get a single payer health care plan for those under the age of 65.

I'm dreaming of a more civil society, one where educated opinions, truth, facts and morals are
valued more than the latest lie, action by a "movie star" or stupid pet trick.

I'm dreaming of a new year, new start, new perspective. Out with the old, it hasn't worked.

P.S. And do people know how much drug use is in their favorite restaurant kitchens?
How much food is thrown out on a daily basis?
