7. I'm in Wisconsin

and have had at least two near misses due to black ice.

And I'm a very good driver.

My wife spun out once on her way home from my office. Big wind caught her van and spun her off the road into a drift. Only going about thirty but the tires were frozen so hard that the driver's side tires just shattered when they hit the right side curb when she went off the road backwards.

12. Most likely black ice. Here in MN we were getting rain and the temp

was 32 degrees. That combination says black ice and it is entirely possible that ND was getting the same thing.

to discuss when they get together and talk about the route and the weather on the way over.
