A group is encouraging Democrats and independents to vote for Palin during primaries in the 2012 election. The goal is ensure that Palin is the Republican candidate since most Americans are skeptical about Wasilla Sarah's chances of actually winning.
I can see a few problems with this. One being the ethical considerations. It's not illegal, but it is more than just a bit shady.
Two, if Palin wins the primary and then wins the White House...that's enough egg on their faces to make one huge-ass omelette.
Three, if the goal is give Obama an easy ride back into the White House, this in and of itself could backfire. For instance, another strong Democratic Party competitor could end up getting the nod if solid Obama supporters decide to flip the switch for Palin during primaries.
http://www.primariesforpalin.com"Mission Statement
PrimariesForPalin.com aims to nominate Sarah Palin as the Republican presidential candidate by encouraging Democrats and Independents to purposefully vote for her in state primaries. In head-to-head polls with President Barack Obama, Palin consistently fares worse than other possible Republican candidates because of her divisiveness. If Palin is nominated, Obama has a much better chance of winning reelection in November 2012."
On the other hand, any chance to make the right-wing wail like banshees is a win so I'm a bit torn.
