Actually, I have no problem the Senator staying in the race. For right now. And I am very distrustful of polls (check my sig) .BUT, if Joe whips Bernie anywhere near as thoroughly as this poll is indicating, Sanders needs to drop out on Wednesday.
Florida poll shows Biden with staggering 44-point lead over Sanders

TALLAHASSEE — Joe Biden is in line to deliver a knockout punch to Bernie Sanders in Florida in Tuesday‘s Democratic primary, according to a new poll that gives the former vice president a staggering 44-point lead over his opponent.
Biden is lapping Sanders in voter support, with support from 66 percent of likely Democratic primary voters to 22 percent for Sanders, according to a University of North Florida poll taken March 5-10.
The findings land just after Sanders, a U.S. senator from Vermont, on Wednesday vowed to stay in the presidential race despite taking a multi-state beatdown in the past two weeks. Biden has 864 delegates to Sanders’ 710, and Florida has 219 grabs. Voters there go to the polls March 17.
“This is down to a two-man race and Biden is looking toward a blowout in Florida,” said Michael Binder, the director of UNF’s Public Opinion Research Lab. Sanders, he said, “is facing a do-or-die debate on Sunday if he hopes to swing the momentum.”

Trump Isn't Telling Us Everything About His Deal With the Taliban

Why is the Trump administration keeping parts of its deal with the Taliban secret from the public? There’s no point in hiding them from the Taliban, because they have the annexes. The State Department says the reason is to conceal details of military movements from, “for example, ISIS.” But skeptical members of Congress who have seen the documents believe the real reason is that the agreement is so vague on how to ensure that the Taliban are living up to their end of the bargain.
Under the accord signed with the Taliban on Feb. 29, the United States agreed to withdraw all American and allied forces from Afghanistan within 14 months. In return, Taliban leaders pledged not to cooperate with terrorist organizations that target the United States or to let them use Afghan territory, and to open talks with the government (which was not party to the agreement) and other Afghans on a permanent cease-fire and how to share power.
The two annexes that remain classified are said to deal with the criteria by which the United States will determine whether the Taliban are keeping their promises. And it’s hard to escape the suspicion that they are being kept secret from the American public because, as The Times reported on Sunday, the annexes give President Trump “enormous latitude to simply declare that the war is over and leave.”
That has been the sense of several members of Congress, including Republicans normally in Mr. Trump’s camp, who have viewed the classified sections in a secure facility underneath the Capitol. Liz Cheney, the hawkish Republican congresswoman from Wyoming, for one, said after seeing the documents that she remains unsure the deal has sufficient mechanisms to verify that the Taliban are abiding by the terms.

The truly sad thing is that, while not putting a lot of stock in the claims of the Chinese dictator, I find myself trusting him a lot more than I do my own country's current president.

The Chinese leader, Xi Jinping, arrived on Tuesday in Wuhan, visiting the center of the global coronavirus epidemic for the first time since the outbreak began and sending a powerful signal that the government believes the worst of the national emergency is over.
Mr. Xi’s visit was reported in a brief bulletin from Xinhua, the main official news agency, which said he met with front-line medical workers, military personnel, community workers, police officers and officials.
His trip is sure to be seen as a sign that China’s leaders believe that a series of draconian restrictions, including the lockdown of hundreds of millions of people starting in late January, have brought the outbreak under control.
According to official data, coronavirus infections have recently receded in China, falling to a few dozen new cases every day, nearly all of them in Wuhan, the provincial capital of Hubei. More than three-quarters of the 3,136 deaths recorded in China were in the city of 11 million people.
On Tuesday, China said it recorded 19 new infections from the coronavirus, and 17 deaths, in the past 24 hours. All but two of the newly confirmed infections were in Wuhan.

President Trump’s political career has consisted of a series of self-generated crises that he has improbably survived, from insinuating that John McCain was a coward for having been captured during the war that Trump himself dodged to the three-year-long high-crime (and misdemeanor) spree. Throughout these disasters, Trump has maintained a floor of support that is apparently immutable and just high enough to give him a plausible chance of reelection. Yet the pair of crises now enveloping the administration appear to be of a completely different political magnitude than anything that has faced Trump to date. It may now really, finally, truly be over for him.
The obvious factor distinguishing the coronavirus and the probable recession from the Access Hollywood tape, firing James Comey, and all the rest is that they have a tangible impact on the lives of Americans. (Or, to put it more precisely, Americans who have voting representation, unlike Puerto Ricans.) Trump’s continuous din of scandals and gaffes is unintelligible to many Americans who either do not follow the news closely, or follow Trump-controlled news organs, and who have instead judged his presidency by the direct experience of peace and prosperity. Trump has done one very big thing very well: He rebranded the economic expansion he inherited as his own creation, like the licensing deals he makes to splash the Trump name over hotels and resorts other people built. Trump’s handling of the coronavirus turns his greatest strength into perhaps his greatest liability.
A somewhat less obvious factor is that Trump’s own mismanagement has demonstrably contributed to these disasters. The entire crisis has grown out of Trump’s constitutional aversion to long-term planning. In his autobiography, Trump boasted that he does not even plan his days, but simply reacts to events as they happen. That process is now dominated by cable news, and especially the stock market, which is Trump’s narrow and highly distorted prism for understanding the entire economy. He dissolved the skilled team of pandemic experts he inherited from Obama on the overt calculation that it wasn’t a priority. “Who would have thought … we’d be having this subject?” he mused.
At some point Trump may retreat to the defense that the coronavirus is an external disaster for which he can’t be blamed. But a series of leaks have documented his direct responsibility.

We're going to need a new word for momentum when this is over, but that's the way it's looking. "In my year of covering politics, I don't think I've ever seen anything like what happened in the 48 hours after South Carolina," New York Times columnist David Brooks wrote on Friday. "Millions of Democrats from all around the country, from many different demographics, turning as one and arriving at a common decision. It was like watching a flock of geese or a school of fish, seemingly leaderless, sensing some shift in conditions, sensing each other's intuitions, and smoothly shifting direction en masse."
"Democratic voter turnout surged on Super Tuesday, exceeding 2016 levels in at least a dozen states and setting an all-time record in one of them," The Hill reported breathlessly Wednesday morning. Virginia turnout was up 70 percent over 2016. In North Carolina, turnout was up 17 percent; in Texas, it was up 45 percent. Turnout was also high in Colorado, Maine, Minnesota and Utah.
"The increased voter turnout on Tuesday was driven largely by moderates," according to The Hill. "Exit polls show that [Sanders] won voters between the ages of 18 and 29 by wide margins across the 14 Super Tuesday states. But no state saw an increase in those voters' share of the electorate."
"The 35-and-up, 65-and-up voters — they vote. They consistently vote," Democratic strategist Hopkins told The Hill. "They show up to the polls. They wait in line. And that's going to be Sanders's long-term problem."
It's going to be Trump's problem, too. Super Tuesday primary results show that Biden is pulling in the voters Trump needs to win. Virginia exit polls showed significant Republican crossover votes in the Washington suburbs. "We have to give tremendous credit to Donald Trump," former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe told the Times. "He has been the single biggest driver to the Democratic Party of Virginia. There are a lot of like-minded Republicans who said, 'I can't vote for Trump but you got to give me somebody who we can vote for.' Biden was always at the top of that list."

Hachette cancels plan to publish Woody Allen memoir

Hachette has dropped plans to publish a memoir by Woody Allen, the Oscar-winning film director who has been accused of sexually abusing his daughter.
“We take our relationships with authors very seriously, and do not cancel books lightly,” the publishing company said in a statement.
The decision to kill Allen’s book deal came on the heels of a staff walkout at Hachette’s New York office and calls of solidarity from staffers at Little, Brown and Grand Central Publishing, both imprints of Hachette.
Dylan Farrow on Friday welcomed news of the cancellation and thanked staff members at the three publishing groups for standing with her and her brother, Ronan Farrow, a journalist whose work has documented alleged sexual abuse by powerful men and fuelled the #MeToo movement and whose work has been published by Hachette.
