Bernie proves he is more electable with shocking new poll numbers.

If Team Clinton wants to pretend like Clinton is more electable than Bernie, they could start by showing something other than the exact opposite in the polls.

Source: http://www.quinnipiac.edu/images/polling/us/us02052016_Ust53w.pdf

General election matchups among American voters show:
 Clinton tops Trump 46 41 percent, Sanders thumps Trump 49 39 percent
 Clinton ties Cruz 45 45 percent, Sanders edges Cruz 46 42 percent
 Clinton trails Rubio 48 41 percent, Sanders and Rubio are tied 43 43 percent

So as of now, if the Democratic Party wants to beat the three stooges leading the GOP, they would be wise to nominate Bernie. You simply can't argue otherwise.

Support of the death penalty in 2016 should be completely disqualifying, or is it just me?

Yet Hillary took the debate stage last night and unapologetically defended the barbaric practice, using the very conservative "it is the government's role to bring vengeance to bad people" line of argumentation.

I guess she isn't in any hurry to join the civilized world because it goes against opinion polling and focus groups.

When the Republicans beat the war drums again and sway public opinion in the direction of more senseless war, what will President Clinton do? Will she listen to her opinion polling or defend what is right yet unpopular?

I wish there weren't so many reasons to be all in on Bernie but his opponent keeps serving them up

Bernie Sanders is the big reason why I support Bernie Sanders

After watching supporters of all candidates be really rude, I've got to say that I am proud of my decision to support the candidate I think will do a better job as POTUS.

If Bernie is nominated:
He's already doing better against Republicans
No rightward turns
Constant infomercials for true, progressive values
Speaking against moneyed power, rather than representing it
Awareness campaign about those who buy politicians
Democratic victory, not only on the top of the ticket but also on the bottom

I have zero desire to base my vote off some grudges against supporters.

Bernie Sanders is why I support Bernie Sanders.

Greenwald: Americans overwhelmingly support military action against ISIS

Since Glenn is a much more skilled linguist than I, I wonder what the "bombs away Democrats" here have to say to the points he brings up in his article. I don't have much to say because I agree with every point he brought up in his article, just as most 2004-2008 Democrats did, until it became "in" among certain "left-wingers" to support the same sort of neoconservative crap which led people to jump off the Republican ship.

[link:url=http://firstlook.org/theintercept/2014/09/08/lesson-americans-refuse-learn-war/|AMERICANS NOW... OVERWHELMINGLY SUPPORT MILITARY ACTION (link)]

PS: I wish it weren't necessary, but it seems sadly necessary to include a pre-emptive response to "Greenwald is a libertarian!" disinformation-spreading trolls, in Glenn's own words (link)

Rasmussen (R)eports - (D)Pryor up 1 in Arkansas

What we're seeing here is the first likely voter poll since April to show Democratic incumbent Pryor with a lead. Could this be a bit of a "Ferguson effect" - some people who usually don't vote having their political apathy cured by the injustice they see?

Pryor's opponent, Cotton, could easily step in overnight and become the worst Senator. On the issues, he's basically the worst of both worlds - on one hand, a crusader for social injustice who can't find one economic policy which favors the 1% that he doesn't like, or one policy which helps the lower/middle class which he does like. And on the other hand, an outspoken neocon who can't find a war or surveillance program he doesn't like. He's like what you would get if an evil scientist decided to merge the worst of Dick Cheney and Rand Paul. And the GOP of course loves him and views him as a rising young star, which makes him all the more important to stop.

Marco "Gulp" Rubio now odds-on favorite to be 2016 GOP nominee

Oddschecker - 2016 Republican Presidential Nominee

Marco Rubio 5:1
Chris Christie 5:1 (trending down)
Rand Paul 9:1
Jeb Bush/Paul Ryan 10:1
Ted Cruz 16:1
Scott Walker 20:1

None of these prospective candidates seem scary at all. I remember everyone was making fun of the 2012 crop as a bunch of clowns, but this bunch just seems like Bozo's cousins.

Each one of these candidates seems uniquely unelectable. I think this will bring up the obligatory "Why settle for Hillary?" question but it seems a very appropriate question given the cast of clowns.

Ronnie Moas schools corporate media on Walmart/Amazon (CNBC video)

This guy's been receiving death threats from his attacks on how the 1% hoards money and treats its workers. It's refreshing to see someone speak the truth so bluntly on a corporate media outlet like CNBC.
