There is that 60 day DOJ memo that prohibits interfering with an election. How do think our Supreme Court will rule when TSF appeals election interference to them?

The mistake was made, I understand that once again it is up to us, the patriotic American people to preserve our democracy.

GOTV and we must overwhelm them at the ballot box because this will not be a fair election. Trump should be sitting in a jail cell right now for what he did stealing our most top secret classified documents. he should have been arrested 3 years ago.

He can't appeal "election interference" to the SCOTUS. There is no such thing from a legal or constitutional standpoint and there is no grey area on this. Further, DOJ has already addressed this. The indictment was last year.

nothing to worry about, the votes were already tabulated. My oh my how wrong people were back then believing that Magats would follow the law, would follow precedence, would follow ethics.

We have a Supreme Court that has first of all actually taken an appeal to decide if a president can legally murder someone, then this partisan court is taking its time to decide something ridiculous. There will be no Jack Smith federal trial pre-election.

How many coup plotters, not the heads of the 2 militias, how many coup plotters have been indicted by DOJ? DOJ should have prosecuted the case that Alvin Bragg is prosecuting. Thank god the states are doing DOJ's work. Dana Nessel will make a fantastic US Attorney General.

Go get em New York, Georgia, Arizona,

The DOJ memo prohibits investigations [/i within 60 days, not trials, which DOJ has no authority over once a defendant has been indicted.

Stefanik is throwing her Hail Mary pass for the VP slot now that Noem has Jumped the Shark by Shooting the Puppy.

That’s all this is.

If there was a chance that “too close to the election” strategy would have worked, it would have been filed by Trump himself.

not the Supreme Court's.

Look what the SC is doing now with Trump's immunity claim, it isn't even addressing the issue.

Your group was wrong about Jan.6, 2021, but I hope you are right about this. Of course it will be Trump who goes to the court for protection.

If, somehow, SCOTUS interpreted the DOJ memo as binding against trials run by the judiciary branch (a serious violation of the separation of powers), then wouldn’t the solution be simply for Garland to withdraw or revise the memo?

Furthermore, Stefanik has filed an ethics complaint, not a civil suit (because she wouldn’t have standing so it would immediately be dismissed), so I don’t see how that could ever end up before SCOTUS- I would think it would be an internal Executive Branch matter.

I was serious when I said this was Stefanik’s Hail Mary to move up the list of Trump’s potential VP picks. With this complaint, she can say and do all the things Trump can’t because of his gag orders.

I’m not sure what “my group” (who are the members? I have missed all the meetings…hope they don’t kick me out) got wrong about January 6 - do you mean the event itself, or the aftermath, investigations and prosecutions?

Time Mattered.

Was it rocket science to figure out these barely human, brainless wonders would react like this? They’re fascist. For fucks sake. Does one need to be put in an oven to believe?

Just like Graham. True colors shining through. Hard to believe it takes only one petty person and cowardly enablers to destroy a 168 year old political party.

This is his own fault for committing crimes and draging the process out.

Looking forward to the response from Smith and the DOJ.
