Missouri minimum wage raise set to be on August or November ballot

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Missouri voters will be deciding whether to increase the minimum wage and provide paid sick time for those workers.

According to the Missouri Budget Project more than 700,000 workers do not receive sick pay.

The measure would increase the hourly pay to $13.75 in January of 2025 and then again to $15 in January of 2026. Also, workers would receive one hour of sick paid time off for every 30 hours worked.

Ashley Ball is a single mother of four. She’s a supervisor at Kansas City Outreach and normally works in food service.
