Donald Trump and his Republican allies have no intention of accepting the outcome of a free and fair election. They are boasting about building a voter suppression war machine. They have told us their plans to intimidate election officials and voters. Their actions show that they will use violence if necessary.

This is not the first time Trump has talked and acted this way. This is not the first time his apologists have said not to take him so literally. And this is not the first time his party has supported and enabled him — no matter what he does or says. We saw this in 2020 and the country is still dealing with the consequences.

Recently, Trump refused to commit to accepting the outcome of the 2024 election saying, “If everything’s honest, I’ll gladly accept the results…If it’s not, you have to fight for the right of the country.” After Jan. 6, 2021, we know that when Trump says fight, he means fight.

Appearing on Meet the Press, Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) — who often passes as a responsible Republican these days — also refused to commit to accepting the results of the 2024 election, regardless of who wins. Perhaps that is because he is auditioning to be Trump’s running mate. His competition is a woman who brags about having shot a puppy and several who say those who were convicted of serious felonies on Jan. 6 are hostages.

1. tRump using Bush/Florida 2000 election theft roadmap

It's important to remember that tRump is using the Bush/Florida 2000 Presidential election stealing roadmap. Let's not forget the Bush use of violence with the Brooks Brothers riot that shut down the legal vote count in Miami-Dade county. Let's remember the several hundred thousand legal votes that sit uncounted in the Florida archives. Lets not forget that most of those votes are the votes of voters of color. Let's not forget the Jeb/Harris felon purge that illegally removed more than 50,000 legally registered African-American democrats from Florida's voting roles before election day 2000. Let's not forget Jeb's numerous public threats that he would carry Florida for his brother which is what he did. Let's remember that W was a coward who couldn't stand all of the uncounted Florida votes being counted because he knew he would lose if all of the uncounted votes were counted.
Let's further sadly remember that too many democrats at the national level who could've acted in 2000 to stop the W election theft didn't and that too many democrats at the national level today including Mark Elias continue to be in denial about W's theft of the 2000 election in Florida. We are sadly now watching history repeat itself with another anti-democracy GOP controlled SCOTUS waiting in the wings to install another anti-democracy GOP candidate in the White House against the will of the people.
