Tenn. U.S. Senate candidate Park Overall keynote speech of Jackson Day dinner - 4/5/12

I originally posted this to the thread announcing her candidacy, but it was such a good speech, that I thought it merited it's own thread.

It certainly made me go from viewing her as a fun, novelty candidate to seeing her as a solid progressive champion who I could really root for.

Always liked her.

And this ought to be a winnable seat...after all, Corker just barely squeaked through in '06.

My husband called her last year trying to get her to run. I'm so glad she decided. I think we will have to get back in touch with the Democratic party here in Greeneville and get her in office. She will make a huge improvement over Corker.

She needs a campaign manager and a web page with info about how we can support her run. This is what I have been looking for all year and last...a viable progressive to run for Senate! I tried to connect with her on her facebook page, but facebook says she has too many friends. Anyone running against Corker for Senate needs all the friends she can get! love, Eliz
