Cross your fingers, or dog paws for me! [View all]

Looks like we found a great fit for a new addition to round out the animal part of our household. Been looking for a dog pal for our dog, needed one that is cat friendly. Hoped for an adult dog that might need a new family rather than going into a shelter due to poor health or death of its current family.

Just filled out the application, after sending an email with details of our home, family, current pets and what we have been looking for. Got an immediate response that was most positive.

I am SO hopeful! Floating on air after searching for over a year! Maisy will be over the moon to have a dog brother and Karl, my old cat, is fine with dogs. Otis has cat and dog pals in his current foster situation and cuddles with them.

Thinking positive and gonna pull the big dog kennel out of storage to have to allow for safe introductions and much 'getting to know you' sniffing.

He sounds like such a good fit and his mom and dad are quite old and infirm, so he needs a good place to land for the rest of his dog life. They are sad to give him up, but are in their 90s and declining; they know he will need a new family soon. We will be more than happy to keep them updated with his progress and some photos if we get to bring this great little guy into our family. If we get to adopt Otis, we want his humans to know he is well and loved, we know the pain they feel with the sacrifice they are making for his long term well being. We want them to be at peace with their decision.

Send me good wishes and luck that we get to adopt Otis and bring him into our family.
