DISCLAIMER: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are not a metal band per se. They have explored a variety of genres over their 25 studio albums and 60 or so singles over the last 12 years. Impressive productivity, eh? A lot of their stuff is psychedelic (some reminds me a bit of Hawkwind, a very good thing), but one can really get lost in their back catalogue. Something for anyone, as it were. There are also a truckload of live albums, if you're so inclined. Touring the US this summer.
