We need marches. We did the Women's march

January 2017 on day after inauguration (thank you BMPM)
Hmmm how might exact memory fail us after 6 years but yes I know I was there! I’m hopeful with this Alito thing marches might be organized. Hopeful. And I will definitely be marching. This is just beyond the crazy IMO.

Yes there will be those saying: go organize a March. And attacking me. My reply in advance: you don’t know me or my personal situation my family situation my health and otherwise.

Listening to Lawrence. Geez. Not to miss.

And if you have to miss and you want a humanizing view of Cohen try and listen later.
It’s almost like Lawrence is coaching him from the TV screen for cross examination.

Lawrence is an absolute treasure.

Recommending "Kiss the Future" Showtime

Very recommend. Many parallels to today’s political climate. And who doesn’t love U2?

Definitely a journey to the past.

"Never get in an argument with a man thar buys ink by the barrel".

Loosely attributed to Mark Twain.

Well Trump is on the backside of all of that. Pecker is smooth. Believable. Slimy sure. But it’s awesome to see TSF be made to hear the words he wrought.

I'm a CPA. I have been doing taxes since I graduated in 1984.

Initially for KPMG. And on to a large local firm then working for Sandia Labs auditing government contracts. In 2000 I started my own business while raising a family. Still doing it even tho my youngest is 27. Love my aging clients. I’m aging with them.
But man. Is it HARD.
To see first hand how the middle class is over taxed in this country compared to the wealthy. Those with wages, hard earned pensions, IRA distributions, and social security? Compared to the wealthy with qualifying dividends and capital gains?
It’s really hard this year.
I always do my best for each and every client.
But our tax system is jacked when it comes to working folks and those that retire as such.
(Oh and believe me the wealthy are not reinvesting in the “economy” they are hanging on to the money and they will be back with more sheltered income and tax breaks next year).

My Brother in Law age 82 is a stutterer

His parents helped him through it by sending him to summer camps for stutterers where they also ran a lot as part of the therapy.
Hugely helped him. He went to college on a track scholarship. He is very accomplished in many other ways as well. Smart businessman.
A former Republican (until he met and married my sister 20 years ago)
This whole Trump/Stutter thing making fun of Biden is very offensive to our family.
And I believe it will not play well with independents. And I also believe it won’t play well with any Republicans that have an ounce of empathy for disabled people (family or otherwise).
