"I'm sincerely not asking you to take sides, but asking you to rise up to the seriousness of the moment."

The president also struck a serious note, urging the media to stayed focused on the implications of November’s election. “I’m sincerely not asking you to take sides,” he said. “I’m asking you to rise up to the seriousness of the moment. Move past the horse-race numbers and the gotcha moments, and the distractions, the sideshows that have come to dominate and sensationalise our politics and focus on what’s actually at stake.

Our worthless media is barely at middle-grade Mean Girls level, and they hate it when they 'think' grownups are trying to tell them what to do.

The DSM needs a serious reboot to extend the age range of Oppositional Defiant Disorder. It's the default setting for them--and tens of millions of other chronological adults.

Trump and the republican party wouldn’t shut up about the virus, and blame Biden for allowing covid to infiltrate our country from china.
Somehow Democrats are nothing but “crickets” when it comes to reminding the electorate about how bad the pandemic was, and what wasn’t done to help prevent it.

IDK why not but messaging has never been our strong suit.

George Lakoff wrote our problem is that we believe people vote on intellect when a good number of people vote on emotion. We think it's good enough to direct people to our platform page & our accomplishments page while the other side is calling us tax & spend democrats, weak-on-the-border democrats, & baby-killing democrats. They have more successfully defined our side than we have.

Fortunately the younger gen dems realize how important messaging is but we're 40 years behind the 8-ball.

open their mouths and out comes word salad.

Media doesn't report Democratic messaging, of course. That's the problem. What are the magic words Democrats could say? Slogans? BS populist promises? No.

The media does not cover what they say about it, which is plenty.

Do keep up.

He’s wealthy enough to sustain the loss of democracy and probably assumes that even a dictator Trump cannot touch him. He may be right personally, but dictators usually are not tolerant of media that prints even the slightest negative comment.

Trump is a massive failure at everything. He wants to be put on the board of the Fed?

It will be total chaos & everything & everyone will suffer. Business will suffer. The places where the rich live & play will suffer as everything around them starts breaking down cuz the only people in charge will be those who are loyal to Trump.
