Mark Meadows unmasked in Arizona fake electors indictment, faces 9 felony charges: Report

Source: Law & Crime

May 3rd, 2024, 10:26 am

Charges have formally been made public against Mark Meadows, the onetime chief of staff to former President Donald Trump, in the expansive fake electors case now underway in Arizona.

Trump is not charged in Arizona but is considered an unindicted co-conspirator.

As Law&Crime recently reported, 18 fake electors in the state were indicted by a grand jury on April 24 for their alleged efforts to overturn the legitimate results of the 2020 election. Though several Republicans were named directly in the fraud and forgery indictment including, among others, leaders of the state’s Republican party and two incumbent state lawmakers, some of those charged had their identities redacted, including Meadows and Trump’s former attorney also facing indictment in Georgia, Rudy Giuliani.

F0rmal charges have still not been confirmed for Giuliani in Arizona. The Associated Press reported first on Wednesday that the state’s attorney’s general office confirmed Meadows was being charged with nine felony counts and has been served. An attorney for Meadows did not immediately respond to a request for comment to Law&Crime on Friday.

His and others' names were redacted in the original announcement last week but were confirmed Wednesday for those who were successfully served.

They will continue throwing this at the proverbial wall until, with the help of multiple generations' undermining of public education and a complicit media dedicated to propaganda and mythology, they get something to stick.

I just hope they ALL "go through some things" big-time, so others will Get. The. Freakin'. Message. that we ain't gonna take this sh*t! Will it take public executions to deter it? I'd rather it didn't come to that, but if it has to.....

Chump is currently unindicted - for now. Nobody's taking any bets on how long that will continue.

I'm not a lawyer and I don't play one on TV either.

However your question has been asked many times before on DU. My understanding is that the status of "unindicted co-conspirator" is to indicate that the prosecutors have at least something on the head honcho but not enough to convict him yet. Of the group that is recently charged (the group announced last week) one of them might still make a deal and help the prosecutors bring down the big guy.

Even if nobody makes a plea bargain deal, these guys are all going down regardless.

I had already surmised part of that (i.e., that TSF could be indicted later on), but that is a much more complete explanation and very helpful!

it is inorder to get their testimony. But im=n a cse like this, it's more likely to avoid someone getting away with crimes because there was double jeopardy. "Unindicted conspirator #1" is under indictment in Federal court and also in Georgia.

Please! No more of these 4 or 5 month sentences. The slap on the wrist BS is sickening. People that have commited far less
criminal acts are serving years and some of these political ass hats are laughing at their terms of incarceration and when they get out,
go back to the old samo samo!!!!
