This day in 1945, Benito Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci are both summarily executed by Italian partisans in Giulino di Mezzegra, Italy.

The bodies were then taken to Milan, where they were hung upside down to publicly confirm their demise. #WW2

History is replete with enabling or otherwise deplorable women held equally responsible to the worst men--something I think is forgotten from time-to-time.
