McKinney urges inquiry into electronic voting

Fourth-District Rep. Cynthia McKinney on Monday called for an investigation of the state's electronic voting machines, pointing to numerous problems with equipment failure, defects and software problems in the 2002 elections.

The DeKalb County Democrat criticized the state for investing in a $54 million touch-screen computer format from Diebold Elections Systems and then forgoing adequate testing before the general election three years ago. McKinney suggested the failure raised doubts about the accuracy of the election results then and the outcome of the 2004 decisions — when McKinney herself won back her seat after a two-year absence.

"The facts we present pose real issues for all other states that followed Georgia's lead and adopted the Diebold standard for themselves," McKinney told reporters at her district office at North DeKalb Mall. "Our aim is an election environment in which voters have confidence in the result."

Chris Riggall, press secretary for Secretary of State Cathy Cox, said the Diebold machines underwent "the country's most rigorous testing of voting equipment ever."

Of course he neglects to mention that the "testing" of which he speaks was during the conduct of an election. And, that the equipment FAILED the test, as evidenced by their own correspondence with Diebold!!!!

And then this part:
A spokesman for Diebold did not return calls seeking comment.

What can one say when they have just been proven to be the largest scam operation on the planet?

Georgia voters will come to the realization that Diebold used them as test rats and they paid Diebold $54 million for the honor.

Perhaps when they wake up to that realization, Cathy Cox will finally pay the price for her prostitution on behalf of Diebold.

7. Among Cynthia's enemies - the clay miners in GA

GA has large amounts of Meerschaum clay - it is white and is used to treat paper. It makes it glossy to enables color printing (think all those flyers that come with your Sunday Paper). Cynthia exposed the British Company that was buying up all the mineral rights from poor black Georgians (the deposit goes through some of the poorest areas in rural GA) . The company is more influential than the Georgia Pacific Co in the state of Georgia. I am sure Zell could tell us more - much more.
It wasn't just AIPAC that contributed to Cynthia's loss and saddled her with the H. Rap Brown legacy.

To run against Cynthia in 2002. Majette was his protegee, which is evidently why she thought she was entitled to his senate seat when he retired.

Majette didn't bother to ask the DEM party in Georgia what they thought of the senate idea after spending thousands just 2 years earlier to rob Cynthia of her congressional seat.
