My Trump Loving Friend Just Called And Told Me He Thinks Republicans / Trump Just Screwed Up

He is still not coming to "our side" but is upset about all the crud they left in the tax scam. Like carried interest.

I told him he will be on our side eventually. He has been lied to, and it becomes more clear every day.

Remember Trump promised not to touch Medicare, and Social Security.

Like a Trump promise means something.

If he's still hanging on, he'll hang on forever. It's had plenty of time to see what a scam artist Trump is. He won't change.

I usually ask him about Trump's lies. He usually says "they all lie". I tell him all Republicans have to lie. Democrats can tell the truth. Trump is a serial liar. My friend is starting to figure it out. Give him time....

My wife has a friend who voted for Trump and now her friend is worried about losing her access to healthcare. She has always voted GOP, so perhaps she can play the lottery and become rich.

I think that means that he may indeed come over to our side, the more he learns. At least he hasn't closed down the doors of communication.

I hope you'll keep talking to him, as he is ready. This is how we persuade people, with kindness and patience. Not all Trump supporters are awful people. I do believe that a lot of them were duped.

Okay, friend, you're upset about the crud they left in the tax scam. Do you think that was an accident? Are they simply too incompetent to govern effectively and know how to draft a legislative bill? Because you can't be any more charitable than that. If you don't think they're incompetent, your alternative is the final bill was deliberate.
