(15,805 posts)Corker pulls off a great public act that makes him look somewhat concerned about his constituency, all the while stuffing his pockets with bribes for catering to the whims of the richest few, and puffing up his own career opportunities, knowing he would sign the bill regardless.
Look at Susan Collins whose award winning public stage performance garnered support from many Dems, even some DUers. In her act, she loudly proclaimed she had made a deal to help the poorest among us, and we believed she was that rare gem, a moderate Republican. But even after the promised aid she was claiming was nowhere to be found, she still voted for the bill.
Trump does the same thing, stands before the camera a publicly swears (making a big sad face to prove his sincerity) he's not going to benefit from his own tax cut bill, while all the analyses show he walks away with unearned millions stolen from impoverished middle class taxpayers.
🏆 Oscar worthy performances, one and all! 🏆

At this point, actions matter. Not words.
