The story Hannity cited, which NBC News published Thursday morning, cited unnamed law enforcement officials who said that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has directed federal prosecutors to seek more information from FBI agents about the closed investigation into a deal allowing Rosatom, Russias state nuclear energy agency, to acquire a stake in Canadian mining company Uranium One.
The White House, Republican elected officials and conservative media have argued that former secretary of state Hillary Clintons role in the deal merits further scrutiny. Their allegations have come amid increased attention onand the apparent acceleration ofspecial counsel Robert Muellers investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether President Donald Trumps campaign had any hand in that foreign meddling.

(9,350 posts)Maybe Donald Trump, or the Russians have come compromising information on him. Maybe his wife wanted to leave him for Bill Clinton. Maybe his wife wanted to leave him for Hillary Clinton. Maybe his wife voted for Hillary Clinton.

(30,481 posts)Going after the CIA and FBI as Trump and Republicans have been doing won't work out very well for them.
Hannity will never get over Wikipedia having him labeled as a conspiracy theorist.

(9,350 posts)I may be wrong, but didn't he do the same thing a few months ago. When I first saw this story I thought this is the second time Sean Hannity has done this with the same story. I am willing to believe that he did the same thing with a different story, but I thought sure Hannity had done the same thing with either NBC, or some other MSM news channel with the same result of being called out and told he had linked to a story from a MSM news channel. Maybe it was another Republican.
