(41,832 posts)THank you so much for asking. I'm told the first Christmas is the hardest. I can attest that it is not easy.
However, I have friends and family who care. Oh, and of course DU.!

There's a bunch I hate hearing, but I picked Jingle Bell Rock from your list.
What a piece of crap!
ChubbyStar
(3,191 posts)I will never play Christmas music!
ProfessorGAC
(76,706 posts)But, when you hear ALL of them, some are bound to be annoying.
And, I'm way more OK with those that were in the common parlance when I was a kid!
The more modern, the more strained.

(10,104 posts)Want to throw a rock at the radio. Love George Michael but such an insipid piece of horse excrement played constantly, and there's a recent remake that's even worse.
The Amy Grant song where she screws up the words to "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" (there must be a reason but it escapes me).
I actually like the McCartney song, reminds me of when I was a kid.

(14,443 posts)is highly offense to us grandmothers. With yoga and Zumba, we are much quicker than we look these days.

Each year I love to seek out unusual arrangements or styles of the classic carols, whether it be jazz, big band, or classic chorale. Helps keep them "fresh"

(43,850 posts)Every year I add a couple, and Ive got a wide range of fine stuff. Makes O Come All Ye Faithful go down a lot easier. 😄

(41,453 posts)Of those that I hear rather more frequently, it's probably a tie between 'Wonderful Christmastime' (*not* McCartney's finest hour) and 'White Christmas'. I think in the latter case it's not so much the song itself, as that it feeds into the myth that Christmas has got to be white.
Generic Brad
(14,374 posts)That is one of the rapiest songs I have ever heard. Make that horrible duet stop.

(25,586 posts)My job takes me into ten to twenty grocery stores a day, so I hear that song all the damned time and it STILL freaks me out a little.
