But I can think of one or two others who have gone past their shelf life.

11. Al needs a primetime slot

Mitchell's time slot is for those "journalists" heading into retirement.

I do agree she is awful to watch.

I used to have a Vine of Andrea burping while she was on-air with one of her guests- that video pretty much sums up her time at MSNBC. lol

he hasn't been on the talk circuit for a while. I'd start him off with a morning/daytime slot to break in.

Besides, I love the Hayes/Maddow/O'Donnell lineup in the evening. Not willing to break that up just yet. Give Al a spot to prove himself. I DO think he should make the talk circuit as a frequent guest starting in Jan '18.

Needs a spot to... prove himself?

Uh, this guy spent 15 years writing and performing on SNL, where he won 4 Emmys, had a 2 man stand up routing for.. even more years I think, had been a Senator since 2009. He has produced TV and radio shows. He is a NYT best selling author, has been both a commentator and anchor for Democratic and Republican Conventions, fought off a law suit by Fox...

I suspect he doesn't need to warm up.

16. Conservative Billionaires Own Airwaves - No Liberal Voices Allowed
Sat Dec 23, 2017, 04:35 PM
Dec 2017

I used to listen to Randy Rhodes, Mike Malloy, Al, Rachel, Stefanie, and the rest of the Air America/progressive crowd. Since I was an advertiser on KPTK I got to meet them all. In fact I helped Ed do his show some.

Things have changed since then.

Progressive Talk Radio is so powerful "they" (conservative airwave owners) had to kill it. Right Wing Hate Radio gets subsidized but no one is there to keep progressive talk going. It takes more than just ad revenue. I know this for a fact, and I am still in touch with the person who sold me the ads. I helped all I could.

I even met Al when he came to Seattle, and shook his hand. (He did not shake my hand extra hard, or cause me any discomfort at all for the record). I became a "liberal" after reading Lies, and the Lying Liars, and thanked him for writing the book.

...Liberals don't spend endless hours listening to talk radio, like conservatives do. That's why Air America failed.
