gave her toddler (my grandson) his own small tree that he can decorate and redecorate himself, and put it in the same room with the big tree. He has stayed away from the big tree because his own is so easy to reach.

Thanks for the suggestion!

We didn't put up a tree this year, or any other decoration. We're doing some remodeling, so I guess we're decorating with dust. I had already decided that I wouldn't put up a tree anyway. My 15 month old grandson is here a lot, and I just don't feel like having that temptation around. He'll be old enough to understand next year. Besides the toddler aspect, I just don't feel like doing the usual things this year, thanks to 45 and repubs.

The tree at my grandson's house looks just like the one in the picture. Nothing at the bottom. What my human grandson didn't take off, the canine grandson did.

Nobody needs to bother opening them with cats around.

Everything is handmade every year from standard craft supplies. But puff-balls in kitty tummies is not a good combination.
