(182,769 posts)President Donald Trump trumpeted American-made goods at the White House this week and put in a plug for a Minnesota pillow company while he was at it.
Very good, the president said of the MyPillow resting before him at a Made in America business roundtable at the White House on Wednesday afternoon one of several events staged at the White House last week to highlight American-made goods.
Trump said hed taken several MyPillows home after meeting company founder Mike Lindell during the campaign. In a testimonial straight out of a MyPillow infomercial, the president added: Ive slept so much better ever since.

At the request of then-Republican candidate Donald Trump, Lindell met with Trump in August 2016 in the Trump Tower in New York City. They talked about the benefits of products being made in America, bringing jobs back to the USA, and helping the inner cities.
From that time on, Lindell was an avid and very open supporter of Trump, even calling Trump The most amazing president this country has ever seen in history.[10] On October 20, 2016, Lindell attended the final presidential debate in Las Vegas to "give all of (his) credibility to Mr. Donald Trump.
On November 6, 2016, two days before the November 2016 election, Lindell spoke at a Trump campaign rally in Minneapolis, where he called the presidential election Biblical.[10] On November 8, 2016, he attended the Official Donald Watch Party. And, on January 20, 2017, Lindell attended Trump's inauguration, receiving an inauguration lapel pin as a personal gift from Trump.

(182,769 posts)Plaintiffs filed at least six class actions from October to April against the company, which offers a pillow it says will stay fluffy and cool through the night. Customers havent sued because theyre unhappy with the product; instead, they say the company inflated the cost on two special pricing options to create the illusion of a sale.
Lawsuits have been filed in Oregon, Minnesota, Montana, Florida, Ohio and New York.

(40,416 posts)MyPillow should be renamed HumpMyPillows. You know you want to do it!
Plus, their jingle utterly sucks. Probably their pillows, too.

(21,130 posts)It says you're to wash it every 3 months. Stupid pillow broke open in the dryer and it took me months to get the pieces out of my lint trap. My dried clothes had the pieces on it and I had to use the sticky lint removers on many loads of laundry. I threw the other one away. And had to finally replace the dryer.

(2,434 posts)He's wearing a cross in every commercial and it is obvious exploitation as it is around his neck and outside the buttons on his shirt. He also uses others in his commercials to do the same. Makes me sick.
