The Velveteen Ocelot
(131,246 posts)The Vaughan Williams setting of O Little Town, not the better-known one, which I do NOT like.
I also totally hate Silent Night, because whenever it's sung it gets slower and s.l.o.w.e.r and s..l..o..w..e..r until it's absolutely dirge-like. It should be andante, not molto largo.

(131,246 posts)If you go to a Christmas service in an Episcopal church you'll probably hear the Vaughan Williams version. The better-known one is ...meh. Never liked it.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
