Sick of flame bait but dont want an alert for calling the poster a poo head?

Do not discuss the “person” who wrote or said it. None of us is a person in the usual sense when it comes to politics. There are no “trolls” only words designed to undermine and destroy.

Instead, critique the words themselves. Usually, the words will be intended to start infighting and piss someone off, since Democratic Unity is our strength. In which case a few simple words will suffice. (Altogether now...)

“Divide and Conquer is the GOP’s favorite political strategy.”

You would be amazed at how effective these words can be.

That is my theory for why people go off on tirades about posts that are properly posted in a group or forum on the subject matter.

On that latest threads tab, of course, all groups get represented. I have, on occasion, seen a post by doing that and then had to look and see which group/forum in which it was posted to assure myself someone wasn't really trying to stir things. It is this step, I believe, people don't think to do before responding.

They appear like clockwork. One dies out and before you know it the same old themes appear and start long debates. Nothing is resolved. So I'm decluttering and it does me good not to even see the threads appear again.

I'm not encouraging the practice. Just sharing what works for me.

the opinions expressed aren't based on anything real and there's no point except for a vague passive-aggressive attack on Democrats repeated over and over, with a sprinkling of apologies when the insults are too obvious. I say they are POO HEADS and I say to hell with them.

It’s that “OMG, someone is wrong in the internet” syndrome.

Trolls exist because DU feeds them. They get off on the panic attacks you have every time they post. If you ignored the posts as if they weren’t there, they’d disappear quickly. Posting flame bait is no fun if no one replies.

I assume most of us are adults, though you wouldn’t necessarily know it from the complete inability to control our own emotions and actions sometimes.
