I know I'm in the minority but

I work for one of the companies giving a one time year end additional bonus as a result of the lowering of the corporate tax rate. I would much rather the money go to our ongoing stock buy back and increase the dividend. I'd rather have more gains in my 401k and personal investment accounts than a one time bonus. I guess getting people to think about the next 20 years instead of the next 20 minutes is a tough thing to do.

I did a calculation for WalMart.

If they took every penny of “saving” in Trump tax plan from reduction in corporate tax plan and gave it to its 2.2 million employees, it would be roughly $1,305 per employee. Meaningful, but not a life changer for most.

We need to make some serious changes in this country for the future. While not sure exactly what those need to be, other than healthcare for all and a few other safety-net programs, I’m not sure we are able to find a solution “on both sides.”

What we could call throwing the starving dogs a very small bone, while kissing tRump's ass.

At 70 YO, I'm not optimistic about our long term future. Far too much economic inequality and imbalance of power of corporations and the wealthy vs everyday citizens. Considering the holdings of companies like Walmart and the heavy outflows of capital across our "financial" borders, I don't see how that can be reversed.

The real moral crime is that all of their vast capital holdings ultimately came out of the pockets of middle and low income folks.

Our CEO went in there and kissed his ass and now he likes us. CEOs are smart to play to his biggest weakness - ego.

where the GOP's entire heart and soul is: corporate bottom lines and big money donors.

All the stuff they talk about to the public is just vote-getting fluff.

You really think your bonus is a result of the lowering of taxes???? If that was the case why not raise your salary?

Cause raising your salary is an INVESTMENT...not just a drop in the bucket...corporations do not invest....they divest!
