9. He's been on his way out for a very long time now....but at the same time, can't.

The minute Sessions is gone, then the media goes "he's going to get Mueller fired!!!". And if only Sessions is gone, then it becomes, "Trump yields to backlash and doesn't fire Mueller".

Either way, Sessions has to stay....and it probably drives him nuts.
