Is Anyone Else Getting The Impression That The MSM Wants Trump To Fire Mueller.....

because the furor that such an act would cause would be good for ratings?

I started to feel uncomfortable the last couple of days as I hear more talking heads on the cable news shows keep talking about the possibility of Trump getting rid of Mueller. I don't want to believe that they would want to do such a thing - but I just got this funny feeling in my tummy that they would relish in the fallout from such an act by Trump.

I hope I'm wrong.

There's enough big news already; it seems like CNN's "Breaking News" chyron has become a permanent fixture.

we know he reacts to things he hears on these shows because he tweets about them - sometimes immediately after something touches off his delusional brain. I don't think it's such a stretch that the MSM knows that and could use their forum to provoke Trump into doing something.

Really it has just been in the last few days I've been getting this vibe.

he was appointed. Christmas was targeted by more threads and bloggers than I can count.

I am sure it would be good for the media. Then again, think how good Mueller filing charges against Trump or his kids would be for ratings. Most of us would be glued to the TV waiting to see them carted away.

Just talking about trump firing Mueller is good for ratings. Perhaps so much discussion about it will make more Americans aware of the implications.

On the other hand, trump firing Mueller would be bigly good for ratings and your concern about their motivation is valid.

Yes, they are happy to have big stories to talk about, but we can't fall into that trap - that's exactly what Trump wants: Don't trust the media! Fake news! I do not believe for a minute that they are trying to engineer any kind of major event just so they can report on it. To the contrary, some media outlets, especially the print media like the NYT and WaPo, have done some terrific reporting. Let's support them and not tear them down. Don't forget, the Washington Post was instrumental in bringing down Nixon.

I mean really we distrust the MSM...because all I see around here is articles that are sourced from the MSM. Now I understand that you may not like what a talking head says or certain coverage, bitch about an opinion piece ...WHATEVER...but to just lump everybody into the MSM and I don't trust them is fucking absurd and lacks critical thinking...no that lacks basic thinking.

the MSM is business and business doesn't give a shit about the nation, just themselves. The goal of business is to extract as much money from a customer with spending the least possible to do it.

The media is on the side of the media. They love things that grab viewers’ attention. It’s why they seemingly sucked up to Trump before and now hate him - Hillary was “boring” to them.

They would love for Trump to go off the wall and start destroying the country. This would mean more dramatic, sensationalist stories to lead with. This all translates into better ad revenue.

I mean, they’ve already shown that they aren’t above outright lying to make a story more attractive. Any moralistic fiber that the media had left is gone.

See the supposed “Melania Trump chopped down a tree!” story as a good example. Stories are written with details purposely omitted, or in a way to be more “outrageous.”

This is also a form of lying, albeit a stealthier way of doing so.

fashion to get you 'interested'..... Sorry but stories that are written w/ details omitted is in Fox and Breitbart and the Daily Callers purview - NOT Cnn etc. THEY ALL spin the headline to get you to click but please just stop saying CNN purposefully omits details...that is just NOT TRUE.
