That happened because of the NAACP and other organizations worked hard to get out the vote. I was unaware they did that sort of political work. Sent them a donation.

The black women who voted for Doug Jones DID make the difference. But only because at least 20,000 Republican voters gave a write-in (worthless) vote, rather than vote for Roy Moore. All the hoopla and Moore being such a terrible candidate, made these normally Republican people refuse to give him their vote. That says a lot.

It took both things to happen together, and that's how Doug Jones was elected.
Democrats worked together and put a good man in the Senate.

Your point is valid but not something we can count on nationally. I don't want to wait and hope for a blue tsunami. We need to fight and organize for every vote.

One thing this means not taking any groups for granted. Be it black men and women, latinos, etc. or groups suffering under current economic conditions (coal minors for example).

Republicans have told some of these groups they will help them and they responded by voting for them. If dems continue to ignore these groups we doom ourselves.

I think if the women of America are made fully aware of the potential damage to our children the GOP is pouring on daily, they will vote and mostly vote Democrat. That should be reinforced with news of the damage they're doing in the states!

With the tax bill's upcoming budget cuts, destruction of basic healthcare, and the nulling of dozens of regulations relating to pollution, health and safety, all our citizens need to be made aware of the coming fallout from this Congress.

Women are our best bet to lead the charge!

I've always thought if there were more women in government than men we would have a much better world to live in.

There will be several hundred Women's Marches held in the US and the world on Jan. 20th and 21st. It is the 2nd Anniv. of the one last year. Everyone is welcome to attend (guys, kids, etc.). You do not need a ticket. If they ask about that in their web page ignore it. It is only for the organizers to help plan and get a head count. Here is the link to see if there is one being held near you.
