Rod Rosenstein and Christopher Wray had a meeting with Paul Ryan this afternoon in Ryan's office.

We have heard lots of prognostications about big stuff about to hit the fan. This sounds like it's going in that direction.

This madness must stop.

1. Too bad trump isnt a democrat, he would have been impeached his 2nd day in office

for emoluments clause and we wouldnt have to deal with any of this.

2. It's about Devin Nunes. Ryan is the only person who can remove Nunes

from the House Intelligence Committee; Nunes is almost certainly up to his eyeballs in Russian dirt and he's been doing his best to kneecap the committee and vilify the FBI. I can't think of any other reason why Wray and Rosenstein together would want a meeting with Ryan.

3. When they've indicted congress members in the past

They never gave the Speaker a warning. It would violate grand jury secrecy rules.

4. Maybe they're not looking to indict him (yet)

but to get him off the House Intelligence Committee - something Ryan can do.

If they indict, then no warning. If they don't, then silence. If they just want to get rid of Nunes, then it violated rules about non-partisanship. If they want to violate those rules anyway, then they do it through a back channel and we'll never know, unless Ryan betrays them. Which he might, so they probably won't.

This can only be about Trump himself, and something big will be happening soon.

6. Apparently Today was the deadline

for the documents that Nunes subpoenaed about the dossier for his own magical hinky secret mysto-mysto committee. Sensitive stuff and Wray and Rosenstein may want to withhold the information from Nunes - especially if they have found some skeletons in ol' Devin's closet.

13. Nunes subpoenaed to find out names of Russian sources of dossier, from McCain's emissary

The ex-State Dept official that McCain sent to England to discuss dossier with Christopher Steele before turning over dossier to Comey, reportedly refused to provide Nunes with names of Russian sources, so Nunes has subpoenaed him to reappear before the committee to provide the names. Very sensitive stuff important to counterintelligence that Nunes has no business knowing as it would endanger those sources, if they have not already been killed or imprisoned.

to give the names to Drumpf so he can schedule another meeting with the Russians and pass the names on to them.
