If you aren't up on medieval slang, it was a 17th century word for a guy who's wife is cheating on him. (As in, he can't get it up.) So this explains how low the rightwing nut jobs have gone, right?

In their mind, as a husband, if you can't control your wife, you are weak. And the most extreme case of a husband's weakness is evidenced by a wife who cheats on her husband, the cuckold. So if you want to portray someone as a week loser who people walk all over, you call him a "cuck."
