The communications team urged all of the senior advisors to cooperate. They thought this was going to be a positive book for the President.

(77,272 posts)The intent may not have been to do a true expose. But, once Wolff saw the dysfunction and idiocy and had full rein to discuss with any and all, the actuality may have redirected the focus.
And, since the insiders knew what they knew, but figured it would all work out, it now looks even worse than expected. Especially when it ends up in print.

(15,805 posts)any sort of vetting, when all they needed to do was call Murdoch and ask how he liked the last scathing book that Wolf wrote about him, but they didn't do that either.
Trump foolishly listened to Sean Spicer, Hope Hicks, Jason Miller and Dan Scavino, a bunch of losers just like him. He believed Spicer, the beleaguered White House press secretary, whom he would soon fire. He believed Hicks, a woman with nice legs but no experience, whom he keeps close as his Strategic Communications Director. Trump also believed, Miller, a man whom he hired to be the Communications Director, but he resigned abruptly after it was revealed he fathered a child with one of Trump's campaign staffers. Trump brought in Scavino who worked at one of his golf courses and somehow that qualified him to be the new Social Media Director, but just yesterday the Senate Judiciary Committee announced that they want to see him as part of their investigation into Russias election interference and possible influence on the Trump campaign.
The fool and his bootlickers are soon parted.
