and why can't Mueller question tRump under oath? (been a year now) and he's not question tRump, can't get perjury if you don't question. I guess i'm somewhat anxious?

(31,106 posts)question him. (I am not a lawyer but assume that is how it goes)
The people who were caught lying to the FBI when questioned were probably not targets or suspects.
And since the traitor has the ability to pardon, who knows what will happen.

(16,872 posts)The least charge they are looking at for tRump? i don't know. They want the BIG CHARGE against him. (I'm hoping)

(15,637 posts)If he could, seems like Mueller should also be able to do that.
Clinton was also testified under oath when before the Grand Jury regarding the Lewinsky scandal. Would that not have been before charges were brought as well?

(685 posts)I thought it was Starr and gang when they charged him with getting a BJ

(31,106 posts)Starr was something else, the big investigation
What happened was for the first time EVER a sitting president was allowed to be sued, civilly, while in office

(12,344 posts)It would tie his investigation in knots and open him up to political attacks. Better to indict first and then let it play out in court.

(4,490 posts)I think he recognizes how corrupt Trump is and knows he doesn't want to get caught on the wrong side of the bullshit surrounding this in the future. He's got nothing to gain right now by being Trump's tool. He isn't a lawmaker worrying about electoral politics, isn't part of the Russian conspiracy, and has a career to protect while knowing Trump is only temporary.
