Sympahthy for the Devil

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul to waste

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

Pleased to meet you
Hope you guess my name
But what's puzzling you
Is the nature of my game

----------------------

Trumps brother, Freddy was an alcoholic and died at 42 from it. Donald Trump swore off alcohol as a result. Why? Obviously it was traumatic...but I'm of the view, there was more to it. Freddy wasn't the first born, but he was the first son and in many turn of the century families, the first son was practically the first born, the daughters didn't matter so much. Freddy was also named after his father...and as a result, a lot was probably expected of him.

And lets look at Fred Trump Sr.;

1. Got involved in construction in the 1920's in Queens, landed government contracts, etc. Given this time period, you had to have entanglements with the mob.

2. He was arrested at a KKK rally, only seven were arrested...and they all wore Klan attire. Fred was the only one not charged...did the mob have some influence?

3. Investigated for war profiteering after World War 2.

4. Had a Civil Right suit filed against him by the Federal Government.

5. Not all was bad, they supported medical charities, Israeli causes...which explains some things, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, etc. But if you ask me, someone really needs to take a closer look at these.

All in all, Fred Trump, looks like someone who may very well may be morally bankrupt when it came to his business dealings. So now we come to Freddy. Was his father unduly harsh on him? If we look at Donald's mad ravings, if its a reflection of his father...well... Then was his father pushing him to be "questionable" in his business dealings? If we was trying to make his eldest son his heir...good chance of that, despite walking away from it and becoming an airline pilot...he probably got disparaged at every family event for it. Freddy most likely had a pretty harsh life...and found solace in booze.

So I posit this, Trump doesn't drink just because of what happened to his brother, but he knows himself he's messed up and has needed and still needs years of therapy. But his ego, narcissism and probably daddy issues, prevent him from doing so. But he knows the minute he gets that "serotonin feeling" from a drink...he is never going to go back.

But he has other "serotonin highs";

1. Sex. The more women do what he wants, the better the high.

2. Golf. Wife and I love hiking, it gets us out to nature and releases from our modern problems. It's a great respite. I've been on enough golf courses with angry old white guys...who, are just pissed off at everything. What I noticed, this was their outlet when shouting at the TV wasn't enough and the wife didn't want them around. Some buddies and I just liked to get out there where it was green, it was like a park that wasn't crowded and you could suspend belief that you weren't in the city...but most of us didn't get into it too much...too many angry people. But for Trump, this is likely his outlet...and the amount he golfs, is telling.

3. Making money. Your at the black jack table in Las Vegas, you just bet really big and are dealt two Ace's, you split...get blackjack on both. You get that high and you get an additional high because you beat the house. He does to when he makes a big deal that nets him some serious bank...but because of his upbringing, screwing people over, makes it all that more, like beating the house.

4. Praise. Think this is why his father did charities, it was good PR and he liked the praise. So did Donald. And given ego, etc. it only fuels it.

Then there is of course, the one family member who did get into government and became an appeals court judge. Donald has outdone all his siblings, but government is a different beast, was he trying to out do his elder sister? Granted from Fire and Fury, he didn't want to be in government, but being a Presidential contender is up there.

Donald reminds me of the abusive boss who rages, belittles, etc. his underlings. He does it because he believes fear runs things. His underlings follow through because they fear loss of income, reputation, etc. As the boss is "well connected". That does happen in politics...but Donald is not a career politician, well connected in DC means "I'll do this for you if you do that for me later". He expects loyalty, just like in his business. There is no loyalty in DC. The book proves it.

He is out of his element and doesn't have clue. He doesn't realize he is nothing more that a puppet for Congress members whose districts are gerrymandered well to the base. He could be loved like he wants if he listened to good ideas, like medicare for all...but he has way too much of his fathers KKK in him. He's a byproduct of an era that got him very wealthy...but that era is going away.... Well, at least I hope.

How ironic!

Don't forget that his grandfather left Germany to avoid the draft then he returned and Germany said, "Get lost. Our records show you are a draft dodger so you are not welcomed here". Nuts don't fall from the tree (this is a teacher's expression). KKK dad, crook, draft dodger, rip people off, don't pay bills, and sleep well at night since they are better than everyone else and the law doesn't apply to them.
