So. What're these guys saving up for, anyway? One foot in the grave.

Another on a banana peel. I look at the greediest of them, like Mitch "Would You People Just Die Already" McConnell. What does he want to buy, so BADLY, he thinks nothing of destroying the rest of the world. The entire world except for his immediate periphery to the core. What could be so...fabulous??? Look at him. How much more oxygen will he be allowed to choke up before he perishes? Time's a-wastin.

And that other one. Every time we SEE him he looks like he's going to *STROKE OUT**!!!!
He'd better go ahead & buy that super-expensive gewgaw or whatever it is, chop chop. He went to all that trouble. What's it going to be? I'm curious. He's leaving America for dead, so this had better be a really, really, really neat toy.

My assumption was that that couldn't be done without conjure, or they haven't come up with the technology yet!

It's the money. Sure, it buys some security and pleasure, but it's the money they value, not what it buys.

Because I've always seen it from the Warner-Bros point of view:

I'm noting a kind of Warner-Brothers physics and logic in the way the GOP thinks. Maybe it can be undone. It's been working for them, somehow. Daffy (my spirit animal) always made greed seem goofy. Now, it's dangerous & I hope it cracks a few beaks.

Whatever age you are, you believe you will live for decades, despite any evidence.

My parents are both 93 years old. Neither are well. Yet, they still talk about doing things years down the road. They retain the concept of continuing to live, despite all evidence that they will not live much longer. I expect to attend their funerals within a year, based on their current health. I hate that, but it's a reality. I say nothing about that to them, of course.

Donald Trump does not contemplate his own mortality often. Neither does Mitch. They simply don't allow for their deaths.

It's apparently a common thing among human beings.

I'm 72 years old. I'm very aware of my mortality. I don't mind, but I'm aware of it on a regular basis.

given the distorted/ rarefied conditions in which they've managed to live.

Besides their names splattered all over everything, they will be nothing. I've approached the question the way maybe a 5 year-old would, from that philosophical bent.

Ann Rule wrote a true crime about a woman who lived in my state, in Siler City. Pat Taylor, an abuser-then-murderess. She was greedy/ghoulish enough to poison her relatives & shoot her husband for money. That was the long story.

Ann Rule got that philosophical way & asked, "Why" and what it really, really came down to. Pat Taylor "LOVED" dolls & had a huge collection of them. This was a little hobby, but she started making dolls herself. It gave her a thrill before she was finally sent to prison. Ann Rule mentions that THIS was what the suffering was about. The death & anguish. The detectives found closets stuffed with sewing notions, boxes of different sized blinking eyes, wigs, etc. Doll scraps. That was the short story.

And apparently, that's simply not as fucked-up as it gets. And if Dominick Dunne were here, he would say the same. "This (trifle) is what it all came down to".

However, unfairly, it always seems like the most evil people seem to live forever. I would love nothing more than to see these evil republicans die a miserable death, but I don't think it's likely, unfortunately.

Somebody- maybe it was you!- said it's all making them start to kind of begin contemplating the possibility that indeed-perhaps- Satan is here, right now.

To me, it occurs when I see a cartoony, but true, lineup of photos. A screaming & ugly red face causing as much pain to as many as possible. Scarfing down Mickey D's! At 70. Precariously perched at the top of a long flight of stairs! And also stupid.

Not only that, but a large part of my agony *knock wood* is that he -the voice, face, words, hand twaddles- almost physically annoys me. You have no idea. I didn't want to inflict those ugly faces of theirs on anyone except as a sign that these 2 worst specimens ever are becoming more (but less) human every day.

If that made any sense

I don't think many of those guys have really spent time in the communities they are supposed to serve, or with the poor or needy who have suffered under their laws and policies. Or if they do, they view "those people" with contempt and view their poverty as a result of some kind of moral failing.
