Everybody loves our messages because we share with you insights that
nobody else has picked up on, and today will be no exception.
After the fact people asked why Nixon installed a taping system in
the White House in the first place. For without the evidence of the
tapes it is possible that Nixon would not have been taken down, while
he continued to shout "fake news." In hindsight, not a great decision
for him.
And Nixon did it of course out of sheer vanity. He wanted to document
the historic nature of his presidency. Yeah, well he sure documented
it alright, 18 minute gap notwithstanding.
As we see it, essentially the same thing happened with the decision
to allow Michael Wolff, author of the new Fire And Fury book, to roam
freely around the White House for months, talking with everyone,
taking notes and making . . . wait for it . . . recordings. This is
the Nixon Tapes parallel.
Not just Trump, but everyone around him, had the consummately vain
idea that it was smart to have the real story of this historic new
White House told. And now we know. Even today, Trump is desperately
tweeting about how smart he is. Letting a guy like Wolff hang out
with you, when you're got as much to hide as The Donald, is almost as
dumb as banging out confessions on Twitter. But of course Trump does
that too, all the time.
Trump thought the White House was a dump, and he immediately set
about to renovate it . . . with glass walls.
This is not to say the Mueller would not have made his case
regardless. But the real consequence of this new book is that the
PUBLIC will believe the real indictments when they come down. This
book intercepts Trump's full court press to slant the jury pool, now
that no less a witness than Trump's own right hand man says Trump and
his people committed treason and are guilty of money laundering.
