From time to time during Watergate, a follow up on all the previous events in the scandal was given. As the number of wrong doings increased, the follow ups became more inclusive and much longer. It wasn't just the break in, it was the reporting about the break in, the beginning of the hearings, the hearings themselves..and etc. etc. etc. etc. For those who remember, it was a multifaceted series of events that encompassed lots of issues, and over what I recall was a long period of time..
