who lost his house in the mud slide in Monticeto on Monday.
He sent an email from Starbucks.
Ellen is going to have a special show from Monticeto at 3:00 Pacific time today with Oprah.
17 are dead 8 still missing. Hwy 101 is closed until Monday
It is weird to not see co workers from Ventura at work. Parking lots are half full.

(27,566 posts)bullshit from the religious right about God punishing California for its many sins. Or maybe I've just been fortunate enough to miss such statements.
Even though I personally have no desire to live in California, I've been there any number of times and can readily understand why many want to live there. And the terrible things that have happened recently aren't deserved by anyone.
All the state needs now is The Big One.
