A thought just came to me. Is Trump trying to get impeached?

Think about it. His remarks and actions get worse and worse over time. He lies more often than he tells the truth. He spends more time away from the office than any President I can recall. He seems intent on insulting our allies. And the list goes on.

He knows he's in over his head, but his ego won't allow him to quit, so his only way out is impeachment. That way he can blame others for his removal from office without accepting any personal responsibility for his actions.

1. No; his ego would never permit such a thing.

He's just losing it - either because he's decompensating or he's got Alzheimer's.

This is just another example of him saying something outrageous but not necessarily illegal or impeachable so we spend all of our time talking about that and not his mental health or pending indictments.

He's freaking out and grasping at straws, and losing what little cool he had to begin with in the process. That's it.

to more than just leaving the presidency. He knows he would not last long in prison.

All eyes on him seems to be his reason for running in the first place. Then he can brag about how much better his impeachment trial than Clintons. I think he really is that twisted and it would be in keeping with the capriciousness of tweeting and lying for fun. For someone who is not interested in doing the job and loves being the center of attention, it might be a way to get out of it in a blaze of glory.
