8. Tough call there

Ignorance is a big plus to Trump for his cabinet picks. Being of Danish background, she must know that Norway is in Europe, but being a member of Trump's cabinet, she might not know its ethnic make-up or even that it is part of NATO. Don't forget, most Republicans couldn't even say on which continent Benghazi is to be found, let alone in which country. She may REALLY have no clue. Trump likes people like that.

For that matter, although the only Scandinavian language I know well is Swedish, I'll bet I speak more Norwegian and Danish than she does, and have spent more time in both countries than she has. That may not qualify me to be the next Homeland Security secretary, but it sure as hell doesn't qualify her, either!

9. It is a tough call

My gut in this case is lying. Just like the saying she didn’t remember if Trump had used the word shithole, she knew giving a straight answer (when asked straight up by Leahy) about Norway being majority white makes Trump look like the racist he is. She actually, to me, came across as fairly intelligent and spinning like a top.
