For the coldest point of Winter, it's 15 - 25 degrees above normal out on the west coast, both day, but especially night. The heat in the atmosphere is just not getting out into space. Dry as a bone again too. So much so, I'm thinking of turning my sprinklers on so my shrubs don't dry up and die.

Stay warm and thanks for helping Houston’s ferals!!!

The cats were sleeping tucked in the hay and some old throws I had .

Normally they run but not today.

I gave them extra food.

Two of the strays are related I think.

They are always together.

I get attached to my strays.

but we're equipped for the cold and ready for it, as are our pets and cars. I really feel for you guys in the South as this is an anomaly for you. Stay safe and warm and take care of your pets. Don't leave them outside!

My Houston house is an old house to.

We have Dearborn gas heaters doing their best.

I have thermal curtains for the windows on the south and west side.

The house is about 65 or so.

Not bad.

I have tall ceilings.

You could have had a few margaritas, gone to sleep, and when you wake, the snow will be melted.

Houston ain't Duluth.

who lives in Helotes, TX who said she didn't have snow in the yard but there was ice everywhere. She's a former Fedex driver from Alaska so she wasn't losing sleep over the roads, however, she said all their roads, schools, federal and state offices are closed...even some restaurants and stores have shut their doors. It's all in what you're used to. Snow and ice is part of our world up here in MT but give us a few weeks of 95+ degrees and we have a tough time with that! Stay warm Demtexan!
