Here's what I don't get

The rethugs want all the money and power at the expense of impoverishing everyone else. There are plenty of countries around the world with no middle class and even the filthy rich in those places want to come to the US too (or at least they did before Dump and Dubya).

Rethugs are creating a place where they ultimately would prefer not live, and there will be no place for them to escape to where they won't get homesick for the good 'ol USA.

Pathetic.

No vision.

This is one of their many problems. They also suffer from "tunnel vision". They do not know how to govern and their goals are based on personal greed and obtaining more wealth as quickly as possible. They are the Un-American party.

I've seen people on DU who criticize Chomsky, but read his books if you want truth. He even supports his arguments with documentation. Our government has been admirable in regard to documentation for many years, if nothing else.
